Whole-person care for the sickle cell community
Living with sickle cell disease touches every part of life — physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. At Bethesda Center, our programs are designed to meet you where you are and walk with you toward greater wholeness and resilience.
All of our services are offered in a warm, affirming environment by staff who understand the unique challenges of the sickle cell community. We welcome patients of all ages and their families.
Individual Counseling
One-on-one sessions with a compassionate, licensed counselor who understands the emotional and psychological weight of living with sickle cell disease. We address anxiety, depression, grief, pain management coping, and the everyday challenges of chronic illness.

Group Counseling
There is profound healing in shared experience. Our facilitated group sessions bring together patients and families in a safe, supportive space to process challenges, celebrate victories, and build lasting community bonds.

Educational Classes
Knowledge is one of the most powerful tools in managing sickle cell disease. Our classes equip patients and caregivers with practical, up-to-date information on the disease, treatment options, nutrition, pain management, and navigating the healthcare system.

Workshops & Activities
